Iris was having a great time playing, so I asked her: should we put Baby Guardian Battle on the store, where other people can download it?

Making the APK and AAB

First the game has to be made into an APK and an AAB, then uploaded to Play. That step did not work the first time either. It took many tries before it went through.

Filling in the forms

After uploading there was still a pile of information to fill in. The privacy policy, the EU stuff, the families policy, the store listing, you name it. Every line and every word had to be looked up before I filled it in.

Rejected

I finally submitted it, and it came back rejected. Every time it was a detail I had missed.

It went back and forth like that, with a round of internal testing along the way. Before each resubmission I would also ask Iris what still needed fixing.

And then one of those rounds went through.

The day it could go public

Iris told me she had made a bet with her English teacher. If the game really did show up on the store, the teacher would buy drinks for the whole class.
