That day I watched my daughter play games for a long stretch with her homework still untouched, so I said to her: stop playing games all the time, you have forgotten to go over your schoolwork.

Iris answered: you are always telling me to play less.

Then she asked:

Dad, can you even make one?

That stopped me for a second.

Fine. I will make one and show you.

She Seemed to Forget. I Did Not.

A few days later my daughter seemed to have forgotten all about it.

I had not.

All I could think about was how to keep the promise I had made to my daughter.

When I picked Iris up from school, I took it out and handed it to her.
